What does it really mean to water correctly? Well, it saves water, costs and plants and grass are simply more healthy. In many areas it's very easy to get a drought during the summer, so if you want your garden to be as healthy as possible, it's important to water... but it's just as important to water it right!
Watering in the middle of a sunny day is not the best thing to do, as the water won't be able to penetrate to the root before the sun has dried it out. Of course, the best is a cloudy day, very early in the morning or a warm evening when the sun has left the area to be watered. Newly planted plants need more water than plants that are already established, and the soil you have planted in also plays a big part in how much water is needed.
To save water, a water barrel is something to always aim to keep in your garden. Through the water barrel you can then fill up a watering can and water by hand, or if possible connect a hose through the barrel which will then slowly trickle water into the bed of your choice. Our premium watering can has a stylish design in black with a beautiful ash wood handle. The watering can can hold up to 10L of water, making it ideal if you have many plants that require plenty of water.
However, the watering can is obviously not ideal for large areas, and here you can instead opt to use a sprinkler such as our oscillator and trio models. The Oscillator sprinkler has a classic design with an oscillating movement pattern that provides a very even irrigation with a range of 100-180 sqm depending on water pressure. The Trio sprinkler has three rotating arms that are easily fixed to the ground. The Trio sprinkler is smaller than the Oscillator model.
Of course, if sprinklers are not your type of irrigation method, you can also water by hand with a hose and spray gun, which allows you to have a little more control over where the water goes. Our premium spray gun has seven different watering modes, and the spray gun is also lockable so you don't have to hold onto a handle.
